Ender 5 Pro Unboxing and Assembling
About Creality Ender 5 Pro 3D Printer upgraded features
Studying the similarities on a surface level, the Creality Ender 5 Pro doesn't appear to be extraordinarily different from its predecessor, but the manufacturer has packed several welcome surprises in this new iteration. Here a spell overview of the differences between the Ender 5 Pro and original Ender 5 3D Printer.
One attribute that is unique to the Ender 5 Pro 3D Printer is the new V1.15 silent Mainboard with TMC2208 drivers, allowing for quieter and more precise printing performance. This mainboard has both Marlin 1.1.8 and Bootloader installed and also has thermal runway protection enabled, providing additional protection in case the printer reaches erratically high temperatures.
Metal Extruder Frame
Another new addition to the Creality Ender 5 Pro 3D Printer is a highly durable metal extruder frame. This feature provides stronger pressure while pushing filament through the 3D Printer's nozzle, which the manufacturer claims will bolster the overall printing performance. This upgraded metal extruder kit comes equipped with an adjustable bolt so that users can tweak the pressure of the extruder gear to best fit whichever filament is selected.
New and Improved Filament Tubing
Last but not least, the Creality Ender 5 Pro 3D Printer also includes new and improved filament tubing. The Capricorn Bowden PTFE Tubing has a 1.9mm ± 0.05mm inner diameter, reducing any excess wiggle room and preventing the filament from buckling inside of the tube. The addition of this high-end tubing makes the Creality Ender 5 Pro 3D Printer better suited to print with flexible filaments and other exotic materials.
About Ender 5 Pro
This was my second 3D printer. The first was supposed to be for beginners. Didn’t work and couldn’t fix it. The Ender 5 Pro worked right away. The only thing i added was a strain relief for the heated bed cabling and a roll of 6”(15cm) blue painter’s tape for the bed. Enjoying my time working from home with my new Ender 5 Pro making stuff for the house. I even made pieces for breathing masks. Now going to try PETG.
I have previously used more expensive brand printers and been left unimpressed by the quality and ease of use. Bought an Ender 5 Pro because of the Ender branding, Large Community, and Great Reviews. Admittedly I was skeptical when I placed the order but took the plunge.
The delivery was super fast, Creality have put as much effort into packaging the printer as they have engineering it, which give the unboxing and assembly a real premium feel, the machine itself is very well made, assembly is a breeze.
Instructions could be a little bit more detailed in regards to leveling the bed and running your first print but check out the files on the micro SD card and if that doesn't help, google is your friend.
After leveling the bed and running my first test print, it's safe to say i am blown away by the quality and finish of prints straight out of the box!!
There is a learning curve but it is not steep or severe. This is a fabulous printer. I chose the 5 Pro as my first 3d printer because I did not want to have to do a lot of upgrades. However, there are a few things that I did want to upgrade after a month of use. This is probably the only 3d printer I will ever own because it meets my needs so well.
Recieved on time in perfect condition, The parts were very well packed in foam, Parts where checked for square, damage and condition as they where assembled and where near as perfect as I could tell. The first 3 samples where printed flawlessly! I'm very happy with my purchase and have recommenced this brand numerous times. I will purchase again when the need arises.
Simple setup and easy printing of calibration shapes. No semi-automatic bed leveling gcode included but plethora of leveling codes in the net. 200g of white filament included. No troubles with the filament except for the abyssmal coiling. Replacement filament has perfect coiling
