This new upgraded silent motherboard is currently not pre-installed on our Ender 3, Ender 3 Pro and Ender 5 printers.
At this point, the silent motherboard is a separate upgrade for all Ender's.
The firmware for Ender 3 /Ender 3 Pro / Ender 5 comes pre-installed NOW
You just plug them in and start printing!

Great when installed as very quiet, however when using the link to install the BL Touch it did not install anything for the touch. It only installed ver 1.1.6 firmware, now I have options missing from menu and still cannot use the touch. Apparently the original firmware 1.1.8 is not available so cannot even revert back to the original stock state.
I cannot believe how good this works. The stepper motor noise is pretty much nothing now. When I first started printing after the upgrade I had to look at the printer to see that it was still printing. The fan noise is all that I hear anymore. Best $40 I have spent!
After reading a lot of reviews that recommended I swap components (add bearings to motors, new damping feets, etc) I just order the board. By far this board is the easiest thing you can do to your Ender 3 Pro to make it slient. Literally no motor noise or axis noise. Also the movements feel way better, smoother than before and I did notice a small increase in the print quality as well! Overall very happy with the mod, I can now use the printer in my office room, with no issue!
The whole process took about 10 minutes. Just make sure to peel off the glue on your old motherboard and switch the wires one by one. (Don’t take them off all at the same time). It was kind of scary how quiet it was because I was so used to hearing the sounds.
This upgrade is much quieter than I expected. All you can hear now is the fans running. Creality should offer this as a part of a standard like an Ender 3 Pro Plus. I would have gone for that right away and saved the minor hassle of the board change out.
